FREELANCE COPYWRITER

Starting out as an independent contractor, I worked most with finance and law firms and slowly transitioned into more mainstream and creative CPG companies.

My roles generally range from creating copy for landing pages, marketing emails, product descriptions and social media, to editing websites, blogs, courses and pitch decks. Conceptualizing video scripts, editing, and conducting research are also big pieces of my work.

I work with companies, founders and in-house creatives on identifying the goals of their content and seek to deliver qualitative writing and brand continuity with discernable quantitative results.

2021 - 2024

PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Alban Group

I worked on the project management team where I supported the successful execution of multi-million dollar renovation projects. I facilitated all client-facing communication, fundamental compliance work, and coordination between all project personnel for 6-8 large-scale renovations/design-builds at a time.

I composed industry-specific copy for newsletters, email marketing and bid presentations. From my start with the company, I was able to drive web engagement and increase email open rates by 64% while focusing of brand value development and key marketing messages.

I played an integral role in the bid process and presentation to potential clients. Upon being awarded the job, I handled all onboarding compliance and managed the project throughout its entirety. I performed relevant industry research and implemented new software within the company which ultimately optimized net profits and work product output.

LEGAL ANALYST

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP

I worked within the Financial Institutions Group at DPW, a premiere global law firm known for its strong presence in regulatory advising.

As a legal analyst, I had my hand in many projects at varying levels but was most active in the compiling, drafting and distribution of a daily subscription-based newsletter on relevant and real-time regulatory rule making. I also aided in the project development and management of resolution plans for clients, along with other forms of external writing and editing.

Working at Davis Polk taught me how to distill information as concisely as possible, to take on responsibilities of wide-ranging magnitude with curiosity and care, all while in an incredibly fast-paced and dynamic environment.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Bucknell University, where I majored in English and Creative Writing and minored in Legal Studies.

I ran on the Women's Track & Field team until injury, and went on to conduct research with University faculty and present two separate theses my senior year.

I studied Creative Writing abroad with Bucknell in London, where I further grew my portfolio, and also traveled to Nicaragua with the Bucknell Brigade to work more within my interest in public health.
